1 Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using PhantomRed (the "Service"), operated by PhredSec™ ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PhredSec™.
2 Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use PhantomRed.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction.
- If you are using PhantomRed on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3 Acceptable Use — The Most Important Section
By using PhantomRed, you agree that:
- You will only scan systems, domains, and IP addresses that you own, or for which you have explicit written permission from the owner.
- You accept full legal responsibility for any scans you initiate through the Service.
- You will not use PhantomRed to scan critical infrastructure, government systems, financial institutions, healthcare systems, or any system you are not authorized to test.
- You will not attempt to use PhantomRed to attack, damage, or disrupt any system or network.
- You will not use the Service to develop offensive tools intended for malicious use.
- You will not attempt to bypass PhantomRed's scope enforcement, consent gates, or rate limiting.
- You will comply with all applicable laws, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), the Computer Misuse Act (UK), and equivalent laws in your jurisdiction.
PhredSec™ reserves the right to immediately terminate any account found to be scanning unauthorized targets and to report such activity to the appropriate authorities.
4 Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and password.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at security@phantomred.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You may not share your account or API key with others.
5 Subscription Plans & Payments
PhantomRed offers the following plans:
- Free: 3 scans/month at no cost. No credit card required.
- Pro: $29/month — 75 scans/month.
- Enterprise: $149/month — unlimited scans.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. By providing payment information, you authorize PhredSec™ to charge your payment method for the selected plan.
We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of new pricing.
6 Refund Policy
Our full Refund Policy is available at phantomred.com/refund. Key points:
- 30-day satisfaction guarantee for first-time paid subscribers — full refund, no questions asked.
- Annual subscriptions — full refund within 30 days; pro-rata refund after 30 days for unused complete months.
- Monthly subscriptions — no pro-rata refunds for partial months; service remains active until end of billing period.
- Outages exceeding 24 hours — credit of 5× the downtime value applied to next billing cycle.
- Suspended accounts — no refunds where suspension is due to Terms violations.

7 Intellectual Property
PhantomRed, the PhredSec™ name and logo, and all associated software, designs, and content are the intellectual property of PhredSec™ (Trademark No: 14093540, Class 42).
- You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
- Scan reports generated by PhantomRed are owned by you — the user who initiated the scan.
- You grant PhredSec™ a limited license to process your scan data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
- The open-source components of PhantomRed's core agent are licensed under their respective open-source licenses.
8 Disclaimer of Warranties
Security scanning is inherently imperfect. PhantomRed may not detect all vulnerabilities, and findings should be verified by a qualified security professional before acting on them. PhredSec™ is not responsible for any security incidents arising from incomplete scan results.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PhredSec™ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits or data
- Damage resulting from unauthorized scanning by a user
- Security incidents at scanned targets
- Reliance on scan results that are incomplete or inaccurate
PhredSec™'s total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you to PhredSec™ in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10 Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms, particularly the Acceptable Use policy
- Unauthorized scanning of systems
- Fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Non-payment of subscription fees
You may terminate your account at any time by emailing support@phantomred.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
